DESCRIPTION:

This is the most amazing and exciting trip to Machu Picchu with bike and trek, we can discover more adventures among the mountains, valleys, rivers and crossing small villages, coca plantations, coffee and a lot of kind of fruits …walking on the old real Inca Trail which connect to the city of the Incas, we will take also a relaxing bath in the hot spring which is good for rheumatism, this trip definitely is considered one of the adventure rote to Machu Picchu where we will observe daily living of Andean and local people… doing this kind of trips we can contribute with local people, buying some fruits, mineral water, also we always use the local restaurants and familiar hostels… as we already know they are always grateful with our guest.

We have also taken steps to help in the reduction of rural poverty, which has become a serious problem in our region of Peru.

Day 01: Cusco - Ollantaytambo-Malaga Pass - Human Marka

Santa Maria Activities: (Biking + Rafting)

Early, on the morning (7:30 am), we will pick you up at hotel; our transport vehicle will transfer to Habra Malaga, which stands at 4,316 meters, where we should arrive to around noon. We will take a few moments to prepare ourselves with our biking equipment before we begin our downhill journey towards Santa Maria. This exhilarating portion of the tour will last for about 2 hours and it will be an unforgettable experience.

On the route from Snow Mountain into the ever-thicker jungle environment, we'll see some stunning views. We will even take some time to search some archeological sites along the way, such as Inca Tambo and Huamanmarca. Our guide will enlighten us with information about the cultural significance of these ancient sites, before we continue moving on towards Santa Maria, where we will have some dinner and rest. ( first Night HosteL).

Rafting Tour: In the afternoon, we will go to do River Rafting Aproximately 2 Hours on Santa Maria River.

Day 02: Santa María - Santa Teresa - Colcamayo

Activities: Trekking

We get up at 5:00 am and after breakfast we start walking along the river bank. During the walk we will see animals of the region such as birds (parrots, hummingbirds, eagles) and also bobcats, centipedes and lizards. We will also see medicinal plants and fruit trees (banana, mango, orange, mandarin, and cacao) and crops of coca, coffee, etc. In the small town of Quellomayo we will have our lunch break. After the break we will continue until we reach the hot springs of Santa Teresa. After a relaxing bath we go to the village of Santa Teresa where we will arrive at around 5:00 pm.

Day 03: Santa Teresa - Hidroelectric - Aguas Calientes

Activities: Trekking

Today we start walking after breakfast from the town of Santa Teresa to the Hidroelectrica train station and from there to the town of Aguas Calientes, where we will arrive in the afternoon.

Every day is a discovery, accompanied by our professional guides who will give us personal attention and a unique experience throughout the journey. This day we will experience splendid drops of water from the glaciers and see also coca and coffee plantations of the local people.

In the afternoon we arrive at the Machu Picchu town, Aguas Calientes where we spend our last night at the foot of the great Inca Citadel Machu Picchu. Accommodation in a hostel.

Day 4: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Ollantaytambo - Cusco Hotel

Activities: Trekking + Visit to Machu Picchu

Early in the morning, at 4:00 am we wake up and at 4:30 am we start the climb to the archeological site of Machu Picchu. We climb a path through the jungle, taking the opportunity to see the sunrise. After registering at the control of the park we continue our way to the Inti Punko (bridge of the sun) where we will start the two hour guided tour. After this you have free time to discover more of Machu Picchu, for example the Sun Gate, Inca Bridge and the Huayna Picchu Mountain. At midday we return to Aguas Calientes to have free time and after we board the train to go back to Cusco.
